Which Countries Are Restricted from Using BetInAsia?

The list comes from clause 4.1.3 of the BetInAsia Terms and Conditions, name for name.

Which countries are restricted from using BetInAsia? Clause 4.1.3 of the BetInAsia Terms and Conditions names 29 countries and territories, and bars their residents, and anyone accessing the site from them, from using the service. They include the United Kingdom, Northern Ireland, the United States of America, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Sweden, Singapore, Cyprus, Kazakhstan, Myanmar, Afghanistan, Iran (Islamic Republic of), the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and territories such as French Polynesia, Guadeloupe, Martinique, Aruba and Curacao.

The test is where you live or connect from. The full alphabetical list is set out in the first section below.

Which countries are restricted from using BetInAsia?

Here is the list, name for name and in alphabetical order. Clause 4.1.3 of the BetInAsia Terms and Conditions sets it out under a plain rule: you must not use the service if you are a resident of one of these countries, or if you are accessing the website from one of them. We copy the names from the English text of the terms, which, incidentally, is the version that prevails if a translation of the rules ever differs (clause 26.5).

Two things stand out when you scan it. Territories sit among countries, and Northern Ireland is a separate entry, apart from the United Kingdom. The next section sorts the entries by type.

BetInAsia restricted countries and territories

Not every name on the list is a country. The terms mix countries with territories, and they name Northern Ireland separately even though the United Kingdom already stands on the list. Sorted by type, the 29 entries break down as follows.

Curacao is one of the territories and, incidentally, the place where the operator named in the terms, Lone Rock Holdings N.V., has its address.

How the terms define a restricted country

Residence settles it. The terms look at the country where you live or the country you connect from, and never at the passport you carry, which means someone with a British passport who lives in Germany stands under the list, while someone with a German passport who lives in a country the list leaves out is not caught by clause 4.1.3.

Where you live

Residence in one of the 29 entries puts you under clause 4.1.3.

Where you connect from

Accessing the website from one of the 29 entries is covered as well.

Your nationality

Nationality plays no part in the clause.

Engraved stone gatehouse with an open ledger on a desk beside an iron key and a lantern, the gate half closed
Where you live decides which side of the gate you stand on.

Two clauses beside the list

Clause 4.1.2 separately bars residents of any country where access to online gambling is prohibited, and clause 3.3 asks you to reside in a jurisdiction that allows gambling. Both stand beside clause 4.1.3.

Payment methods depend on your country, too

Each country has its own restrictions on payment methods, and a method missing from your Portal is one your country restricts, according to the BetInAsia Help Center. Rapid Transfer is offered for seven countries, and iCash vouchers are available only to players located in India. These are payment-method rules and nothing more; they are separate from the list of restricted countries.

Can I use a VPN with BetInAsia?

Masking changes nothing. The residence test follows the country you actually connect from, so a tool that disguises your location does not move you off the list, and clause 3.4 of the terms names VPNs, proxies and similar services or devices that mask or manipulate the identification of your real location and rules them out for every customer.

Breaking a condition of the terms, this one included, lets BetInAsia suspend or close an account, cancel bets and withhold the funds (clause 6.4). We have no workaround to offer and no wish to look for one.

KYC (know your customer): proof of identity and address

KYC is the identity check BetInAsia runs before you withdraw. Full KYC becomes mandatory once your deposits pass €2,000 in total or as soon as you request a withdrawal of any amount; until then you can register, deposit, open product accounts and transfer funds without it. Three documents cover it:

  1. An official photo ID, front and back where the document has two sides.
  2. A selfie with that ID, if required.
  3. A bank statement or utility bill issued in the last three months, with your name, your address and the issue date visible.

Upload them as PDF, PNG or JPEG files of 5 MB or less, with all four corners visible and no screenshots. Once they are in, your status shows Temporarily Approved and the KYC team has 24 hours to approve, reject or ask for more information. In that state you use the platform as usual but cannot withdraw.

Restricted in your country? BetInAsia alternatives

The list above is BetInAsia's own. The other three brokers in our fixed order are AsianConnect, MadMarket and Sportmarket, and each has a review of its own. To choose one, start from the brokers that accept your country, where all four sit side by side.

The table sets the eight countries people search for most against each broker's own list of restricted countries.

How does BetInAsia work?

BetInAsia is a bet broker: one registration gives you a single account for Asian bookmakers and betting exchanges. You register at the BIA Portal, fund the BIA Wallet, then open a product account (BLACK for trading across betting sites, Sharp Exchange for back and lay, PS3838 for the Pinnacle route) and move funds across from the wallet. The minimum deposit is €50.

The access register lists 7 Asian bookmakers at BetInAsia (3et, BetISN, Pinnacle, Sbobet, Singbet, Turf7 and SharpBet) and 8 exchanges (Betdaq, Betfair, Kalshi, Polymarket, Matchbook, Mollybet, Orbit Exchange and Smarkets). For the basics, read what a bet broker is and how it works.
