Sportmarket Review: Platform, Fees, Limits and Countries

A free-to-use broker with one shared betslip and dedicated bookmaker accounts beside it.

Sportmarket is a sports betting broker founded in 2004 and licensed on the Isle of Man. It gives you one account for the bookmakers and exchanges on its Betting Platform, and Direct Bookmaker Accounts for PS3838, FairExchange, Tradeball and Singbet on request.

The service is free to use, the minimum deposit is €10 and Sportmarket states that winners are welcome. This Sportmarket review covers the platform, the betting sites it opens, fees, deposits, verification and the countries it does not serve.

What is Sportmarket and how does it work?

New to the category? Start with bet brokers explained. In its own terms Sportmarket is "an authorised Agent for a selection of Bookmakers and Betting Exchanges": it opens betting accounts with those betting sites for you, receives your funds and makes them available at the bookmakers, then settles with them on your behalf.

How a bet broker connects you to the betting sites: Sportmarket is one of the four brokers on this site.

A free broker: how Sportmarket gets paid

What does it cost you? The service is free to use. Charges that bookmakers and exchanges apply are built into the odds, so the price on your betslip is the price at which the bet settles.

Incentives line up. Sportmarket receives a small commission from the betting sites on the turnover you generate, and it selects its bookmakers for high limits and fair treatment of winners, so we think a bettor who stakes steadily and wins is exactly the customer this arrangement is built around, which beats relying on the goodwill of a soft bookmaker.

Who is Sportmarket for?

Anyone who stakes seriously and wants to keep doing so: Sportmarket's help centre lists "High staking limits" among its advantages.

  • Larger stakes. The maximum is set by the bookmaker, the event and the current odds, and the betslip shows it.
  • Hedgers and arbers. An Arb Calculator sits in every betslip and covers a bet placed at another bookmaker.

We will be blunt about why this category exists. A soft bookmaker that trims the stakes of a customer for winning has told you what it thinks of your edge, and a broker is the answer to that. Sportmarket says winners are welcome.

Sportmarket Betting Platform: one betslip, many betting sites

The Betting Platform is the heart of the service: one account, one betslip and prices from many bookmakers and exchanges side by side. Sportmarket dropped the word PRO from the software's name, and Mollybet powers it; the page on the Sportmarket Pro platform explains that engine.

One betslip, one stake, split across several betting sites.

Bookmakers and exchanges available

In our access register Sportmarket opens 5 bookmakers: 3et, Pinnacle, Sbobet, Singbet and SharpBet. It opens 7 exchanges: Betdaq, Betfair, Polymarket, Matchbook, Mollybet, Orbit Exchange and Smarkets. Pinnacle comes through PS3838, Betfair and Orbit Exchange through FairExchange, and Singbet is available on request. For Sbobet, our page on SBOBet via Sportmarket covers that betting site on its own.

Useful features

Two views. Sportsbook for one event at a time, Trade for many events and markets side by side.

  • The betslip splits your stake across several bookmakers.
  • Lay bets and singles, plus accumulators on football, basketball and American football with two selections at least; net accumulator winnings are capped at €50,000 per calendar day (GMT).
  • Future Fulfilment: a target-odds order for a bet not yet available, placed automatically for up to 72 hours on football and 2 hours on tennis, basketball, American football and baseball.
  • Smart Credit: temporary credit from profit locked in by closing a position before the event ends, on football full-time and half-time markets.

Placing a bet

Pick a sport, a competition and a market such as 1X2, Over/Under or Handicap, click the odds to open the betslip, enter your stake and press Place Bet. Live bets can pass through a Danger status, a short pause after a card, a penalty, an injury or a VAR check: the bet is accepted if play resumes normally and refunded if a major event occurs.

How stakes work

The minimum stake is €1. The maximum is not fixed: it depends on the bookmaker, the event and the odds at that moment, and the betslip displays it. Sportmarket's blog puts it this way: "Your limits are driven by available market liquidity, not by whether your account is profitable."

Mobile web app

Sportmarket has no native mobile app. The Betting Platform is a responsive web app that runs in your phone's browser.

FairExchange: the Sportmarket route to Betfair and Orbit Exchange

FairExchange is the exchange side of Sportmarket. In the access register it is the tool that reaches Betfair and Orbit Exchange through Sportmarket, and the help centre says: "Designed for serious bettors looking for better odds and peer-to-peer trading, it's available exclusively through Sportmarket."

Access takes a verified account with funds in the Main Account and a request to support; two-factor authentication is mandatory. The minimum stake is €5, the minimum activation deposit €100 and each transfer request moves up to €5,000. Automated API software such as GeeksToy is not permitted.

Exchange commissions

FairExchange charges 3% commission on winning bets and nothing on losing ones.

Direct Bookmaker Accounts and other products

Two account types. On the Betting Platform your bets are placed in shared bookmaker accounts, whereas a Direct Bookmaker Account is a dedicated account that you use in the bookmaker's own interface and fund through your Main Account, which gives you the bookmaker's full range of markets, including markets the platform does not carry.

The named operators are PS3838, FairExchange, Tradeball and Singbet; press Request Access in the Betting Accounts tab of your dashboard to open one. The terms state that funds in Direct Bookmaker Accounts are not held in segregated client accounts.

PS3838 direct account

Sportmarket labels it "Powered by Pinnacle". Deposits and withdrawals go through Sportmarket only, with at least €100 available in your Sportmarket account to transfer, and support activates it on request. Our Pinnacle page covers the PS3838 account via Sportmarket in more depth.

Singbet

Singbet is switched off by default; ask support to activate it, and an On/Off setting in the Bookies tab then controls it. Each betting site applies its own settlement and void rules.

Tradeball

A customisable football betting bot created by Sportmarket. It needs at least €100 in the Main Account and is switched on through live chat.

Deposits, withdrawals and fees

Accounts run in euros. A deposit has to come from an account, card or wallet in your own name, and fiat and crypto cannot be mixed. Card, bank transfer and crypto deposits carry no Sportmarket fee. We like the flat floor: every method starts at €10.

Minimum deposit and withdrawal

The minimum withdrawal is €10 as well, on every method. You withdraw by the method you deposited with, up to the amount deposited that way, after moving funds to the Main Account. Bank transfers carry no fee, and crypto withdrawals carry no Sportmarket fee. On card, Neteller, Skrill and MuchBetter the first withdrawal each month is free, then each further one costs 2% (minimum €5).

Turnover requirement

Each deposit has to reach 5x turnover on settled bets, void and push excluded, before its funds can be withdrawn. Turnover means Valid Turnover: for each bet, the smaller of the stake and the potential profit, so a €100 stake at 1.30 counts for €30 and a €50 stake at 2.50 counts for €50. A request stays possible when the requirement is not met, with a fee of 2 to 5% (minimum €5).

KYC and account approval

KYC (know your customer) runs in the Verification tab of your Main Account: an identity document (passport, national identity card or driving licence), a proof of address under 3 months old in your full name, and a selfie check. Most verifications finish within a few minutes. The sign-up runs in four steps:

  1. Register with the JOIN NOW button; your Betting Account is created automatically.
  2. Verify early in the Verification tab: bank details and crypto deposits appear only once you are verified.
  3. Fund your Main Account from €10.
  4. Open the Betting Platform and place your first bet.

Our verdict

Short version? A free-to-use broker with a real choice of accounts: one shared betslip when you want the best price across many betting sites, a dedicated PS3838 or FairExchange account when you want the bookmaker's own interface.

We think that pairing is the strongest idea in the service, and the flat €10 minimum deposit makes it easy to try.

Our verdict on Sportmarket

Open Sportmarket if you want a free-to-use broker with a choice between a shared platform and dedicated accounts. Register, verify early, fund from €10 and start on the Betting Platform.
